Roles connect [[Users|users]] with [[Policies|policies]]. Typically, they match a person's job description, e.g. cleaning staff, technical maintenance, etc.
Roles connect [[Users|users]] with [[Privileges|privileges]]. Typically, they match a person's job description, e.g. cleaning staff, technical maintenance, etc.


To create a new role, Select ''Roles'' in the main menu and click ''Add new''. Give the role a meaningful name, and then select the policies for this role, as well as the users, by selecting them in the lists to the right and moving them over to the left.

Roles connect users with privileges. Typically, they match a person's job description, e.g. cleaning staff, technical maintenance, etc.

To create a new role, Select Roles in the main menu and click Add new. Give the role a meaningful name, and then select the privileges for this role, as well as the users, by selecting them in the lists to the right and moving them over to the left.
