Assignments are functionally equivalent to [[Roles|roles]]. They are intended to make it easy to give somebody temporary access to one or more doors, without having to create a new role.

To create a new assignment, select ''Assignments'' in the main menu and click ''Add new''. Give the assignment a name and specify the validity time. Then, just like for roles, select the policy or policies and the user(s).
